I just created an Outlook account. But when I wanted to send an email it said "Please verify your account. We've noticed some unusual activity in your Outlook.com account. qzone

I've been wanting to post to qzone for quite some time now, but I can't, since most navigation buttons provide Chinese characters in the form of images.

Chinese characters in image form are harder to translate. You can just copy Chinese characters in text and paste it into any translation software to get the meaning. Images, not so easy. I usually draw them first in Pleco. For navigational purpose, having Chinese characters in images instead of text surely makes this learner scratches her head many many times!

自动查询，谁他妈正在？

我在学习语言时经常用谷歌翻译。从几个月前，我开始得到警告说我的计算机或者网络可能正在自动查询。我没理它，我觉得谷歌无聊了。但谷歌是认真的，今天早上我完全不能访问该网站！

我用了工具，如CCleaner，杀毒软件，等，但是还没成功。：（

I use Google Translate a lot in my language learning. Starting a few months ago, I started getting warnings that my computer or network may be sending automated queries. I brushed it off, thinking Google was being silly. But Google was serious about it, this morning I couldn't access that page at all!

最被垂涎八零端口

the most coveted port 80

I installed WAMP on a client's computer. Her requirement was that I wasn't allowed to use port 80 because she wanted to use it for IIS. And yes, I used WAMP instead of XAMPP because her operating system was 64 bit. I did it by alter the WAMP to use another port, that is 8080. But now the system have ':8080' extension behind its URL.

I have been looking for a way to accessing it without such extension. No success so far. :(

pleco

As a non-native speaker of Chinese language, sometimes I run into Chinese characters I want to look up the meaning. Google translate allows us to do this by taking picture of aforementioned characters, but you have to be connected to the internet to do this.

Pleco, an android application, allows us to draw those characters and get their meaning without any active internet connection. As a person who can go all day grunting about internet connection in my country, this helps me a lot.
