sweet pork sausages (lap cheong) -- part two

Remember my friend whom I charged less than the item which I helped her buying? I didn't say anything about it, but a few days ago she send me money via bank transfer, she said it was out of gratitude, compensating for my effort in helping her buy the sausages.

And you know what, the amount was much more than what I lost mischarging her! Yay! :D

这是我朋友的最喜欢歌。刘德华是八零后的初恋情人。至少是女孩们的。我不知道是否有男孩曾经公开承认喜欢过他！

我在想是否有人曾经试着用普通话而非粤语唱「一起走过的日子」，但不是像「来生缘」那样更改歌词。

还有，这首歌用了中国鼓伴奏。有没有人也留意到有击鼓的声音呢？

andy lau - the day we spent together

This is my friend's favorite song. Andy Lau has been 90's kids' childhood crush. The girls, at least. I don't know any boys who openly admitting having a crush on him!

I wonder if there's someone who tried to sing this song in Mandarin instead of Cantonese. Not with different lyrics like Next Life's Spouse.

Also this song is heavily seasoned with Chinese drum. Is there anyone else here noticed those drum beatings?

我同事告诉我们他去巴厘岛拜访他侄女的经历。他很难找到她的地址，所以他给她打电话，向她问路。 他的侄女接了电话说：「在雕像后转右！」

My colleague told us his experience visiting his niece in Bali. He was having difficulties finding her address, so he called her, asking for direction. His niece answered the phone by saying "Turn right after the statue!"

After flipped the phone closed, my colleague grumbled: "This land is brimming with statues, all look the same, which statue she meant..."

My bedmate almost never woke me up. During one of those rare occassion when he woke me up, he wanted to show me a hair he plucked off his nose. It was about 2.5 cm length!

印尼政治局势发生了意想不到的变化。很多人不满现任总统苏西洛·班邦·尤多约诺。他们甚至称他为「骗子先生」并在推特上发表#ShameOnYouSBY的热门话题。

在另一方面，他们亵渎的对象不会欣然接受他们的不满。不知道 用的 什么招，推特删除了/删掉了那热门的话题。

Indonesian politics situation took an unexpected turn. Many people were getting angry at the current president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. They even called him Mr. Liar and made #ShameOnYouSBY a trending topic in twitter.

On the other hand, the object of their blasphemy did not accept it happily. Using dunno what move, twitter erased that trending topic.

我非常开心地告诉你们我的中文提高了。几天前我还收到了一个笔友从中国来的信，她写了两种语言：中文和对应的英语翻译。

我更喜欢印刷的东西，因为太长时间看电脑显示器我会头痛。你们怎么样呢？

I am happy to tell you my Chinese's going better, the other day I even get a female pen friend from China, she wrote to me in two languages, Chinese and its English translation.

I like written/printed stuffs more than digital ones, because staring too long at computer monitor makes my head dizzy. How about you?
